Neurosurgeon-in-Chief Dr. Philip E. Stieg has been named one of five co-principal investigators in the newly created New York Stroke Trials Network of Columbia and Cornell, funded by the National Institutes of Health. The project is one of 25 regional stroke centers created by the NIH to conduct clinical trials in stroke.

Dr. Kenneth Perrine addressed the annual Jockeys' Guild Assembly about the management of head injuries in the racing profession.
