Dr. Theodore Schwartz delivered two keynote addresses at the 28th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Epilepsy Society of Australia on November 6, 2014, in Melbourne.
The Epilepsy Society of Australia is a professional organization of physicians and researchers who specialize in epilepsy; its annual scientific meeting focuses on different themes each year. Dr. Schwartz’s first keynote, “Optical Mapping of Seizure Initiation and Propagation,” introduced one of the three themes of this year’s meeting (Epilepsy: Is It a Focus, a Zone or a Network?). His second keynote addressed “Novel and Experimental Therapies for Epilepsy Using Brain Stimulation.”
Dr. Schwartz is frequently invited to lecture about advanced neurosurgical techniques at international forums (see Dr. Schwartz Teaches Endoscopic Surgical Techniques Around the World) and is an innovator in surgical techniques for epilepsy.
