Pediatrics nurse practitioner Ashley O’Connor CNPNP, MSN,RN was named the winner of the Neurosurgery Outstanding Service Award for her work at the Weill Cornell Medicine Brain and Spine Center. In addition to serving as the program director for the Craniofacial Program, she serves as the NP for pediatric neurosurgeons Dr. Caitlin Hoffman and Dr. Mark Souweidane in treating pediatric patients with a wide range of craniofacial anomalies.
Every quarter, the new Neurosurgery Outstanding Service Award will spotlight a member of the Department of Neurological Surgery who goes above and beyond to assist our physicians, patients, or colleagues. The award calls out team members who exemplify the core values of the neurological surgery department, including collegiality/teamwork, compassion, perseverance/commitment, and leadership.
Ashley was nominated by her teammates, who wrote that “Ashley is the go-to person for anything our team needs help with” and “Ashley goes over and beyond for her patients as well as her colleagues.”
Congratulations again to Ashley for displaying excellence in the core values of the department. She, along with future winners will be honored on a plaque located in the Neurological Surgery conference room.
