The Department of Neurosurgery at Weill Cornell is soliciting applications for the Complex Spine Research Fellowship position. The Fellow will be involved in research initiatives under the direction of Dr. Ali Baaj. This includes gaining expertise in managing a spine clinical outcomes registry, becoming proficient in performing data collection and analysis, and participating in new and existing clinical and biomechanics studies. In addition, the Fellow will participate as a team member in educational events and training workshops. The Fellow will be expected to present independent and team abstracts at regional and national meetings. Additionally, opportunities for observation of spinal surgery procedures will be available.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will be a physician in pre-residency status, or a junior-level international neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon seeking to engage in spine-related research in the United States for a designated period of time. Proficiency in the English language and a documented track record of manuscript preparation are a must.
Duration: The Complex Spine Research Fellowship position may be 3 months to 1 year in duration.
