Dr. Yun-Jeong Seo is a board-certified family and advanced oncology certified nurse practitioner specializing in neurosurgical oncology with a focus on brain and spine tumors. She provides comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care, collaborates with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams, and manages patients through surveillance and survivorship.
Dr. Seo earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Hunter College and Master of Science in Nursing from Lehman College. She previously served as a nurse practitioner in radiation oncology at Mount Sinai West, where she received the Nursing Excellence Award in 2019. With more than 24 years of hospital-based clinical experience, she has held leadership roles in nursing education, patient advocacy, and research.
Her scholarly work includes development of the HEART Team Protocol, presented at the ASTRO 2024 Annual Meeting and the ONS 2025 Congress, which advanced strategies for reducing hospital admissions and improving interdisciplinary care. Dr. Seo is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered neurosurgical care and advancing innovation in oncology nursing practice.
