Katie Chrunyk was recently selected as the PA Mentor of the Year in neuroscience by the Department of Physician Assistant Services at NewYork-Presbyterian. The awards, given each year to honor outstanding PAs on each campus of the health system, recognize excellence in the profession and a stellar commitment to patient care. Katie, who was honored earlier this year as Neurology PA of the Year for her outstanding work with our hospitalized patients, was selected from among 350 PAs campus-wide for the honor. Supervisor PA Beth Higgins won the PA award for excellence in EPIC and clinical documentation. Awards were announced and presented at the annual Physician Awards Ceremony.
In addition to PA Mentor of the Year, these annual awards also honor a PA of the Year and a PA Rookie of the Year. Our neuro service had nominees in all three categories this year, reflecting the breadth of the skills on our team:
