Debra Olson-Plastrik is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who works with patients and their families to provide support and assistance regarding a range of psychosocial concerns and needs, often in collaboration with other team practitioners. Psychosocial issues can include understanding and adjusting to the special developmental, academic, and/or emotional needs of the patient; identifying community resources and programs; reviewing insurance needs and entitlements eligibility; helping with transportation, and addressing potential barriers to treatment adherence and clinic appointments.
