Luisa Jaramillo is a board-certified physician assistant in neurosurgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian. She assists in the medical and surgical care of patients throughout their hospital stay and assists the neurosurgeons with surgery.
Luisa graduated from Stony Brook University in 2022 with a master's in physician assistant studies. Luisa completed her surgical training at several different hospitals on Long Island, including at Stony Brook University Hospital, where her interest in neurosurgery was ignited. Luisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Binghamton University in 2017. She then went on to work in a variety of medical disciplines, ranging from working as a medical scribe, medical assistant, and paramedic, preparing herself for her future career.
Luisa is dedicated to her patients and caring for her community as she continues to grow in her field. She continues to be a patient advocate, providing her patients with the high-quality care before, during, and after surgery.
