Neurosurgeon Ning Lin, M.D., has been appointed to the faculty of the Weill Cornell Medical College Department of Neurosurgery, where he will be seeing patients at the Upper East Side campus as well as at New York Hospital Queens. Dr. Lin specializes in neurosurgical and endovascular treatments of cerebrovascular disorders including aneurysms, AVMs, carotid stenosis, and Moyamoya disease; he also has expertise in brain, pituitary, and spinal tumors as well as Chiari malformations.
“This appointment represents an especially important addition to our faculty,” says Neurosurgery Department Chairman Philip E. Stieg, PhD, MD. “Not only is Dr. Lin a gifted neurosurgeon, but he extends the reach of the Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center out to Flushing, Queens. Now patients in northeastern Queens have access to the same level of neurosurgical care available to patients who live closer to our Upper East Side campus.”
Dr. Lin received his M.D. cum laude from Harvard Medical School and completed his neurosurgery residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Boston Children’s Hospital. He completed fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology at Gates Vascular Institute, SUNY Buffalo.
Dr. Lin sees patients at offices in Flushing and Fresh Meadows and performs surgery at New York Hospital Queens and NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. Dr. Lin is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
