Celebrated Magnum photographer Elliott Erwitt, known for his black and white journalistic photos, was the special guest at a preview event celebrating the release of KOLOR, a compendium of his color photography. The November event, held at the prestigious Edwynn Houk Gallery on Fifth Avenue in New York, was the first-ever exhibit of Erwitt’s color prints.
Thanks to the generosity of both the photographer and the gallery owner, proceeds from the sale of photography at the event will benefit the innovative spine research being conducted by Dr. Roger Härtl, director of the new Weill Cornell Medicine Center for Comprehensive Spine Care.
