Dr. Mark Souweidane will participate in the opening panel discussion at the 29th annual conference of the American Syringomyelia & Chiari Alliance Project (ASAP), to be held from July 19 through July 23, 2017, at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale. This yearly event is designed to bring the latest information about Chiari malformation and syringomyelia to patients, families, and caregivers.
At this year’s conference, called “Redefining Chiari, Understanding Syringomyelia,” Dr. Souweidane and colleague Dr. Neil Felstein from Columbia University will appear on the opening panel discussion about Chiari surgery. Dr. Feldstein will talk about surgery without a dural opening, and Dr. Souweidane will address “Dural Opening: Real or Perceived Risk?”
