Clinical Fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology (INR)

The Interventional Neuroradiology Service of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine offers a two-year clinical fellowship open to neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, and vascular neurologists.

We take pride in educating fellows with a hands-on approach so that they become independent by the end of their fellowship. Our division collaborates closely with the departments of Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Radiology, Ophthalmology, and ENT and performs more than 1,200 cases per year. Our fellows are exposed to all aspects of endovascular and percutaneous procedures for brain, spine, and head and neck, including;

  • Diagnostic cerebral and spinal angiography
  • Aneurysm coil embolization
  • Aneurysm flow diverter embolization
  • AVM and AVF embolization (brain, spine, face, neck)
  • Acute stroke interventions
  • Carotid angioplasty and stenting
  • Intracranial angioplasty and stenting
  • Venous sinus stenting
  • Petrosal sinus sampling
  • Epistaxis treatment
  • Percutaneous sclerotherapy
  • Balloon test occlusion
  • Wada testing
  • Intra-arterial chemotherapy for tumors of the eye, brain and spine
  • Embolization of brain, spine and head and neck tumors
  • Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty

The fellows will participate in novel clinical trials and will have ample opportunities for clinical research and publications.
