CBTP Clinical Trials Program Manager

The Children's Brain Tumor Project (CBTP) Clinical Trials Program Manager is a key member of a translational effort that supports, advises, coordinates and collaborates on multiple projects that are in alignment with Dr. Mark M. Souweidane’ s strategic priorities. The Clinical Trials Program Manager  is responsible for managing projects of consequence, and as such the position requires the use of considerable independent thinking, analysis, facilitation, judgment. This position will require delegation to others and significant active follow-up.

Position Activities

  • Protocol design and writing for early phase clinical trials for children with central nervous system tumors
  • Grant writing and applying to support clinical trials
  • Liaison with cooperative groups as it relates to group-wide clinical trials
  • Responsible for structured agreements with industry (pharmaceuticals, device manufacturers, etc.)
  • Creation of amendments for ongoing clinical trials Interface with Institutional Review Boards (IRB) for regulatory compliance

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Ph.D., M.D., or other graduate degree in the biomedical sciences, minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience (i.e. academia, clinical trials, pharma/biotech, or government).  

Well-developed planning and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with extraordinary skills at presenting data in a clear and compelling manner. 
Must be willing to travel as needed, and work nights and weekends as needed.
