Assistant Professor of Neuroscience in Neurological Surgery

Sergei Musatov, Assistant Professor of Neuroscience in Neurological Surgery and a leading researcher on Dr. Kaplitt's team, was tragically killed on May 27, 2015, when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver while bicycling in Manhattan. The faculty and staff of the Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center, as well as the entire Cornell community, are stunned and saddened by this terrible loss.

Dr. Musatov will be sorely missed by his family and his colleagues. He was a brilliant scientist and researcher, and a joy to work with, and his death is a terrible loss both personally and professionally.
