Dr. Kristen Yancey grew up in Atlanta, GA and went on to graduate with honors and summa cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Yancey then attained her medical degree and completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, an institution renowned for their expertise in Otolaryngology. During residency, Dr. Yancey participated in several medical missions abroad to coordinate a mobile ear clinic and perform pediatric hearing screenings in rural schools in Kenya and Haiti. Dr. Yancey then completed a prestigious fellowship in Neurotology, undergoing additional, advanced training in lateral skull base and ear surgery at UTSW in Dallas, TX before joining the faculty at Weill Cornell.
She has been an active member of her community and has published in many peer-reviewed journals, with a commitment to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes:
Her field of expertise encompasses hearing loss, aural rehabilitation through cochlear implantation and bone anchored hearing implants, cholesteatoma and other chronic ear disease, as well as lateral skull base pathology including vestibular schwannomas (acoustic neuromas), facial nerve tumors and cerebrospinal fluid leaks, endoscopic ear surgery. She enjoys caring for both adult and pediatric patients and is dedicated to improving the quality-of-life of all her patients.
